“Calibrating oxygen entry during bottle ageing:
an essential tool for achieving excellence”
.

PE.DI’s range of liners offers the experienced winemaker a valuable tool to vary wines
according to vintages and to desired style of wine.

Stainless steel AISI 430 magnetic (INOX)

Suitable for long-term ageing and for all types of cellars or storage facilities including those
with high humidity.

Aluminium alloy 5052 non-magnetic (ALU)

Recommended for high-speed bottling lines, this material guarantees minimal wear of the capping heads.
Easy to fit and resistant to humidity.

Electrolytic tinplate E4/E4 magnetic (ETP)

Suitable for dry cellars or storage facilities and more pliable than stainless steel.

PVC-FREE VIRGIN POLYETHYLENE
HEAT-MOULDED IN THE CAP

Enanched by special additives to improve elasticity and to reduce osmotic permeability.

TOP+

PE.DI bestseller. Flexible and pliable liner boasting excellent mechanical sealing against pressure. Ideal for medium-term ageing up to approx. 48 months.

TOP+3

The alternative to TOP+ when a slightly higher micro-oxygenation is required. Specially designed for base-wines with a tendency to reduction and for medium-term ageing, up to 36/48 months.

TOPZ

Ideal for warmer, riper vintages with base-wines tending to early evolution/ripening. Recommended for medium to long term ageing up to 60 months and beyond.

OXYSORB, THE FIRST "ACTIVE" LINER USED FOR SECOND BOTTLE FERMENTATION

Thanks to sulphites it contains, it actively absorbs the oxygen during osmotic exchange, preventing this from entering the bottle and coming into contact with the wine.

PVC-FREE VIRGIN POLYETHYLENE FOAM DISC
TOP

Optimum gaseous exchange to achieve quick maturation of traditional method wines.

TOPS

Enhanced by a saranex coating on both sides, TOPS is a “barrier” liner, the least permeable of the range.
This liner preserves aromas and freshness over time, ideal for long-term ageing and storage, up to 72 months and beyond without fear of oxidation.

We propose high-quality products with unique characteristics that can be summarised in six key points:

1

CROWN CAPS PRODUCED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE QUALITY GUIDELINES ISSUED BY COMITÉ CHAMPAGNE “Comité Interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne” an authority created by the French legislation to better protect the Champagne market. It involves the control of supply chains and packaging linked to Champagne production and conservation.

2

FINE METALS FROM QUALIFIED AND CERTIFIED SUPPLIERS, in compliance with international regulations for food and beverage closure packaging. The tinplate is E4/E4 (4 layers of tinplate) for greater resistance to oxidation. The stainless steel is AISI 430, aluminium is a 5052 alloy.

3

INNOVATIVE LINERS play a key role in the second fermentation, with the option to choose between various levels of permeability and to regulate CO2 loss and O2 entry. The range of PE.DI liners offers the expert winemaker a precious tool to vary wines according to vintages and to the desired style of wine.

4

CONSTANT ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS thanks to national and international collaborations with the main producers of raw materials and/or with Scientific and University Committees.

5

ANTI-COUNTERFEITING PROTECTION with printing of the PE.DI company logo inside the injected polyethylene liner.

6

PERFECT MECHANICAL RESISTANCE AND ERMETICITY WARRANTY.
