ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

PE.DI ensures that all activities at our plants in Italy and France, are carried out in a responsible way with regards to the environment and society, by using management systems that comply with ISO 14001:2015 standards, certified by BUREAU VERITAS.

PE.DI S.r.l. is committed to establishing and maintaining an environmental management scheme that is compliant with UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 standards, summarised in our policy declaration and available to the public.

To this end, it intends to instill a healthy environmental knowledge in all of its associates and to develop a functional management system aimed at ensuring the maximum respect for the environment, depending on financial feasibility.

We firmly believe in the sustainability of our products and, for this reason, we have launched the “CARBON FOOTPRINT” project in order to measure the total amount of greenhouse gas produced, emitted as CO2, and associated directly or indirectly with a product, organisation or service.

Measuring of a product’s or a process’s carbon footprint requires the identification and quantification of the consumption of raw materials and energy in the selected stages of its life cycle. Based on this important project, our company has established a carbon management system aimed at identifying and bringing to fruition financially efficient interventions that use technologies with low-levels of carbon in order to reduce our emissions.
